Great tire for the price!
Not the greatest tires but they handle well and can't beat the price! Even with install, 4 new tires for less than $600? Deal!
Very happy with my new tires and great price
Great ride and no noise from the road and great in the rain and they look great as well.
Great Tires!
I have ran Thunderer tires on several different vehicles the last 5 years and have always been happy with the quality and performance. I would pitt them against any of the major brands! Excellent ride quality, great traction, and long lasting.
Thunderer Mach V (5) Low Profile Tires
Bought two of these tires a year ago for my mom's 2013 Nissan Altima 4-cyl to replace two of the Thunderer Mach IV (4) tires. Since the car's original owner had replaced the original wheels and tires with custom wheels and low profile tires I decided it best to just replace those tires with a like model. Although the Altima is not exactly a quiet car when driven on the highway the Mach V's are definitely quieter than the Mach IV's had been. Of course, low profile tires respond, sound and ride differently than standard style tires. These tires definitely handle very well on California highways and handle curves very well. They also response well on the occasional wet roads southern California sometimes gets. However, I strongly don't recommend driving on wet, nor snowy, roads at anything other than the appropriate speed for the existing conditions regardless of the tire manufacture or style.
Adequate for 3 seasons. Wore fairly quickly.
I've driven these for coming up on 3 years in 4 season weather. In wet and dry they're pretty decent. Notably better in wet than Pirelli P7 Plus I had on my former car. (Those didn't hydroplane easily, but had poor wet traction). That said these are pretty poor in winter. Driving conservatively, I've slid around a bit on these. Almost bought a separate set last year but fortunately the last 2 winters have been mild. Biggest thing currently is at ~31k miles the shoulders are pretty well worn. The sipes are almost gone so it's time to replace these which is pretty short life even for a UHP all season tire that hasn't been driven hard. They were rotated regularly and tire pressure was maintained.
These tires are not it. Purchased 225-45-18 and in 8 months of normal driving, 2 tires went bad with splits at the seam. Cust, svc no help and ultimately removed all 4 for safety reasons. Wish I had done more research, what a waist of $$
My background, 48 years in car repair, domestic, foreign, european as a technician and service manager. Have had expensive, and budget tires. I have sold these tires, that is why I bought them for my wife's car. Drove to florida through, not 1, but 2 hurricane's, stuck like glue, positive traction, never slid or broke traction once. These are the best for the money, bar none. Tread wear is still too early to tell. Quiet touring tire. Have put 3,200 miles on them, smooth, and quiet, would buy again in a heartbeat!!
